1963 Sohmer Baby Grand

The Sohmer company was established in 1872 and by 1900 was one of the most respected American makers. Unlike the vast majority of US piano manufacturers that failed in the great depression, Sohmer survived after World War II and continued to make fine quality pianos into the 1970s. This lovely French Provincial model was built in 1963 and is still in very fine condition. It has a nice tone and action, and an attractive antique white case with matching bench. It may have been a special model as it is the 150,000th Sohmer built. Size 5ft. Serial number 150000. SOLD
