INFORMATION
Our
teachers who teach one-on-one private lessons are private contractors.
We refer students to them, and they rent teaching space from us.
We will give you a telephone number and you will contact the teacher
directly.

Flute: Lynda Arnold
Lynda holds a Bachelor of Music/Business degree from
DePauw University in Indiana and an Audio
Production/Recording Arts degree from Ex’pression
College for the Digital Arts in Emeryville, CA. She
has been teaching piano and flute in the Bay Area
since 1999 and specializes in classical techniques,
sight reading, ear training, blues, jazz and other
popular styles. She values the unique creativity of
each student, encouraging improvisation, composition
and most importantly – fun!. Lynda also offers
recording and producing packages for singers and
instrumentalists looking to record demos or
professional release ready recordings.
Lynda currently composes and performs as ‘Divasonic’
and produces electronic-based music events and compilations with
her partner company, Digital Bliss Productions.
MaryClare Brzytwa
MaryClare Brzytwa is an internationally recognized, performer/
composer and teacher. Ms. Brzytwa has been a part of the Piedmont
Piano Staff for 5 years teaching group and private piano, flute,
songwriting, improvisation and electronic music. Her approach to
teaching music encompasses a variety of techniques that tailor to
each student's individual learning levels and needs. MaryClare holds
a BA Music degree in Composition/ Electronic Media from Mills College
and especially enjoys teaching beginners. She has toured extensively
in Europe, the US, and Japan as a multi-instrumentalist and most
recently completed a 6 month position as curator of a website devoted
to experimental music in Switzerland.
