Mary
Jean Kelsey’s Group Piano has been a popular offering
of our music school for a number of years.
Ages 8 & up
Beginning Piano 55 minutes weekly for 13 weeks. While stressing the
proper approach to note reading and pianistic technique, lessons are
infused with humor and a sense of fun. The joy of sharing music in
an ensemble setting is the ultimate goal of this level. Call for schedule.
• Adult Beginning Piano (ages 16 and up)
• Child/Teen Beginning Piano (ages 8-15)
Intermediate Piano also 55 minutes weekly. Call for schedule. For
those students with any amount of prior study, Ms. Kelsey offers classes
of varying difficulty. Following an initial interview, you will join
others of similar backgrounds or be advised for a more serious study
of private lessons.

Piano
for Seniors
(daytime class for older adults)
Dates and times to be determined, weekday mornings
A small
group class for older adults who have never played piano but would
like to learn, also for those who used to play and would like to
take a refresher course that concentrates on the basics. The curriculum
moves at a relaxed pace and includes chord studies, enabling students
to both accompany songs and play solos.

Beginning
Piano for Adults
Saturdays 9-10am (call for start date, duration, and tuition)
It’s
never too late to learn how to play the piano! This class welcomes
the complete beginner (or folks who are a bit rusty on the keys)
to cover basic piano skills through theory, rhythm, ear training
and improvisation. The material will be adapted to the
students’ musical tastes and interests. Come join to deepen
your enjoyment of music!
